Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fisherwomen On The Beach by Max Stern was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in February 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,364.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Stern achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children playing with their nanny in a sunlit park in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 24,675.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fisherwomen On The Beach von Max Stern wurde im Februar 2014 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.364,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Stern erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children playing with their nanny in a sunlit park im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.675,00.
