This artwork by Max Band achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March 2011. In the Ecole de Paris 1905-1939 auction, the work Zafed, 1935 sold for EUR 1,785.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Band - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Young Butcher, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,242.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Max Band erzielte im März 2011 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Ecole de Paris 1905-1939 wurde die Arbeit Zafed, 1935 für EUR 1.785,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Band mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Young Butcher beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.242,29) versteigert wurde.
