Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included the work On The Waterfront by Max Band. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,168.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Max Band have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2021 the work The Young Butcher was auctioned for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,242.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On The Waterfront von Max Band zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.168,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Max Band konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2021 die Arbeit The Young Butcher für GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.242,29) versteigert.
