Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Holy Family by Mauro Gandolfi was sold in the Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,387.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mauro Gandolfi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2016 the work Judith With The Head Of Holofernes, After Cristofano Allori was auctioned for USD 50,000.00 (€ 46,159.53).
