In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper, which included the work A Sheet Of Studies Of Six Heads by Mauro Gandolfi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,548.29), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mauro Gandolfi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Judith With The Head Of Holofernes, After Cristofano Allori in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 46,159.53).

Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sheet Of Studies Of Six Heads von Mauro Gandolfi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.548,29) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mauro Gandolfi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Judith With The Head Of Holofernes, After Cristofano Allori im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 46.159,53).
