Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait Of The Artist Pelagio Palagi by Mauro Gandolfi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 51,000.00 (€ 39,236.81). Other works by Mauro Gandolfi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2016 by the work Judith With The Head Of Holofernes, After Cristofano Allori at USD 50,000.00 (€ 46,159.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait Of The Artist Pelagio Palagi von Mauro Gandolfi im Januar 2007 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 51.000,00 (€ 39.236,81) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Mauro Gandolfi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Januar 2016 die Arbeit Judith With The Head Of Holofernes, After Cristofano Allori mit USD 50.000,00 (€ 46.159,53).
