Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2020 Christies in London held the auction Italian Drawings From The Robert Landolt Collection, which included the work Five designs for ceiling decoration by Mauro Antonio Tesi. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,675.63) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mauro Antonio Tesi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A section of a ceiling with coffering and sculpture ( recto ); Studies of architectural motives from S. Maria in Aracoeli, Rome ( verso ), which sold at auction in September 2016 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,474.37).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Italian Drawings From The Robert Landolt Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five designs for ceiling decoration von Mauro Antonio Tesi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.675,63) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mauro Antonio Tesi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A section of a ceiling with coffering and sculpture ( recto ); Studies of architectural motives from S. Maria in Aracoeli, Rome ( verso ) beobachtet, die im September 2016 für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.474,37) versteigert wurde.
