In September last year Christies in Paris held the auction Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers, which included the work Errotin - Le vrai lapin (C), 1995 by Maurizio Cattelan. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,340.00 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurizio Cattelan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Him in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 17,189,000.00 (€ 15,436,910.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers durch, in der auch die Arbeit Errotin - Le vrai lapin (C), 1995 von Maurizio Cattelan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 11.340,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurizio Cattelan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Him im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.189.000,00 (€ 15.436.910,64).
