Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Star Line. Mediterranean Cruises by Maurice Randall was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 727.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Randall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Volendam harbour in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 9,400.00 (€ 4,113.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blue Star Line. Mediterranean Cruises von Maurice Randall kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 727,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Randall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Volendam harbour im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 9.400,00 (€ 4.113,26).
