Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mannin, Connemara 51 x 61 cm. (20 x 24 in.) by Maurice MacGonigal was auctioned at Bonhams in Dublin in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,176.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Maurice MacGonigal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aran Folk in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,853.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mannin, Connemara 51 x 61 cm. (20 x 24 in.) von Maurice MacGonigal kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Dublin zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.176,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice MacGonigal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aran Folk im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.853,97).
