Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Fishing Boats At Clogerhead by Maurice MacGonigal. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,605.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice MacGonigal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aran Folk, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,853.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing Boats At Clogerhead von Maurice MacGonigal zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.605,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice MacGonigal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aran Folk beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.853,97) versteigert wurde.
