Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art, which included the work Still life with peppers and a ceramic pitcher by Maurice August Del Mue. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,670.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice August Del Mue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Fog near Pt. Reyes-Marin County, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 9,000.00 (€ 7,540.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life with peppers and a ceramic pitcher von Maurice August Del Mue zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.670,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice August Del Mue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring Fog near Pt. Reyes-Marin County beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 9.000,00 (€ 7.540,21) versteigert wurde.
