Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art, which included the work A couple by Matthijs Röling. The price achieved of EUR 5,625.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthijs Röling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2012 for EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A couple von Matthijs Röling zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.625,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthijs Röling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2012 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
