Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waterfall 4, 2007 by Matthias Meyer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2018. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,873.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matthias Meyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seerosen 5 in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 44,543.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Waterfall 4, 2007 von Matthias Meyer kam im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.873,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthias Meyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seerosen 5 im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 44.543,87).
