Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work The Way We Were by Matthew Day Jackson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 34,020.00 (€ 37,776.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Day Jackson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harriet (Last Portrait) in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 662,500.00 (€ 535,613.23).
