The work Saint Jerome by Matteo di Giovanni was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 97,837.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matteo di Giovanni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Augustine, which sold at auction in April 2018 for USD 348,500.00 (€ 288,636.74).

Die Arbeit Saint Jerome von Matteo di Giovanni kam im Juli 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 97.837,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Für andere Arbeiten von Matteo di Giovanni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint Augustine beobachtet, die im April 2018 für USD 348.500,00 (€ 288.636,74) versteigert wurde.
