Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna And Child With Six Saints by Matteo di Giovanni was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,136.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Matteo di Giovanni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint Augustine in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 348,500.00 (€ 288,636.74).
