Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Studio (From Library) by Matt Lipps for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,245.47). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Matt Lipps have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2018 by the work Camera at USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,606.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Studio (From Library) von Matt Lipps für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.245,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Matt Lipps wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Februar 2018 die Arbeit Camera mit USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.606,50).
