This artwork by Matias Spescha achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Zurich in May 2013. In the Swiss Art auction, the work Peinture II, 1965 sold for CHF 13,200.00 (€ 10,605.33) - well above the upper estimate of CHF 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Matias Spescha; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Peinture "Grau-Schwarz", 1961 sold at auction in June 2001 with the realized price of CHF 29,375.00 (€ 19,290.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matias Spescha erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Zürich einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Swiss Art wurde die Arbeit Peinture II, 1965 für CHF 13.200,00 (€ 10.605,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CHF 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Matias Spescha; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Peinture "Grau-Schwarz", 1961 im Juni 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von CHF 29.375,00 (€ 19.290,99).
