Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Christies in Zurich held the auction Swiss Art, which included the work Ohne Titel by Matias Spescha. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 10,800.00 (€ 8,880.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matias Spescha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peinture "Grau-Schwarz", 1961, which sold at auction in June 2001 for CHF 29,375.00 (€ 19,290.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ohne Titel von Matias Spescha zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 10.800,00 (€ 8.880,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Matias Spescha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peinture "Grau-Schwarz", 1961 beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für CHF 29.375,00 (€ 19.290,99) versteigert wurde.
