Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gato Doméstico (Domestic Cat) by Matías Sánchez was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 30,240.00 (€ 30,880.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matías Sánchez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Partisanos El Amuerzo (Painted In 2020), which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gato Doméstico (Domestic Cat) von Matías Sánchez kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 30.240,00 (€ 30.880,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Matías Sánchez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Partisanos El Amuerzo (Painted In 2020) beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13) versteigert wurde.
