Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mensaje by Mathias Goeritz was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in February 2020. The price achieved of EUR 30,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 24,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mathias Goeritz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mensaje in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 466,000.00 (€ 441,204.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mensaje von Mathias Goeritz kam im Februar 2020 bei Sothebys in Mailand zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 30.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 24.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mathias Goeritz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mensaje im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 466.000,00 (€ 441.204,32).
