Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included this untitled work by Massoud Arabshahi. The auction ended at the price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Massoud Arabshahi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 277,000.00 (€ 177,929.09).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Massoud Arabshahi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.397,13) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Massoud Arabshahi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 277.000,00 (€ 177.929,09) versteigert wurde.
