Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Imphy - HK by Victor Vasarely was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 22,000 - 28,000, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,500 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250 (€ 630,589).
