In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Sun On The Sails by Mary Swanzy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,269.87), 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mary Swanzy have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 112,500.00 (€ 130,288.97) in September 2016 for the work Cubist Landscape With Red Pagoda And Bridge.
