Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Deer Alerted by Mary Newcomb was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,568.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Newcomb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Guinea Fowl on a Fence in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 64,692.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Deer Alerted von Mary Newcomb kam im Januar 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.568,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Newcomb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Guinea Fowl on a Fence im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 64.692,48).
