Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Standing nude by Mary Frank. It changed hands for a price of USD 478.00 (€ 397.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Frank achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman With Winged Arms in March 2010 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,855.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing nude von Mary Frank zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 478,00 (€ 397,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Frank erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman With Winged Arms im März 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.855,24).
