The price achieved of USD 186,700.00 (€ 137,908.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of Berthe Hélène MacMonnies is the most expensive artwork by Mary Louise Fairchild Low that we have observed at auctions so far.
