Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Bonhams in London held the auction MiddleEast London to Dubai Online Sale, which included the work The War Of August 22-28 by Marwan Sahmarani. The price achieved of GBP 10,687.50 (€ 12,014.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marwan Sahmarani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Resignation and Rebellion in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 85,000.00 (€ 79,454.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion MiddleEast London to Dubai Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The War Of August 22-28 von Marwan Sahmarani zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.687,50 (€ 12.014,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marwan Sahmarani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Resignation and Rebellion im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 85.000,00 (€ 79.454,10).
