Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Massilcamp by Marwan Sahmarani. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 21,420.00 (€ 25,376.91). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marwan Sahmarani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Resignation and Rebellion, which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 85,000.00 (€ 79,454.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Massilcamp von Marwan Sahmarani zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 21.420,00 (€ 25.376,91) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marwan Sahmarani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Resignation and Rebellion beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 85.000,00 (€ 79.454,10) versteigert wurde.
