Shechen Monastery in Bodnath, Nepal by Martine Franck was sold in the Artist | Icon | Inspiration: Women in Photography Presented with Peter Fetterman auction at Phillips in New York in June 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,083.53). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martine Franck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Swimming Pool designed by Alain Capeilleres, Le Brusc, Var, France, 1976, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 13,860.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tulku Khentrul Lodro Rabsel, age 12, with his tutor Lhagyel. Shechen Monastery in Bodnath, Nepal von Martine Franck wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Artist | Icon | Inspiration: Women in Photography Presented with Peter Fetterman bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.083,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Martine Franck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Swimming Pool designed by Alain Capeilleres, Le Brusc, Var, France, 1976 beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 13.860,00 versteigert wurde.
