A top price for Martin Sharp - as previously expected
The work Australian grand Nu by Martin Sharp was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 13,200.00 (€ 7,705.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian grand Nu is the most expensive artwork by Martin Sharp that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Australian grand Nu von Martin Sharp wurde im August 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 13.200,00 (€ 7.705,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
