This artwork by Martin Bloch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2005. In the Twentieth Century British Art auction, the work Jazzband, a Berlin Cabaret; and 4 works by the same hand sold for GBP 540.00 (€ 796.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Bloch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sketch For 'Afternoon In Bangor' in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,693.66).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Martin Bloch erzielte im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Jazzband, a Berlin Cabaret; and 4 works by the same hand für GBP 540,00 (€ 796,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Bloch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sketch For 'Afternoon In Bangor' im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.693,66).
