In the Post-War & Contemporary Art I auction, the work Dans La Serie Des Tableaux A Geometrie Variable, 1 Element Oeil + Palmier - 1967 sold for EUR 123,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martial Raysse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'année dernière à Capri (titre exotique) (Last Year in Capri (Exotic Title)) in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 4,073,250.00 (€ 4,797,947.71).
