Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work The Procession Of The Bride; The Procession Of The by Marten van Cleve I. It changed hands for a price of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 325,017.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 220,000.00 – 280,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marten van Cleve I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Outdoor Wedding Dance, which sold at auction in July 2016 for GBP 1,061,000.00 (€ 1,260,697.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Procession Of The Bride; The Procession Of The von Marten van Cleve I zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 325.017,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 220.000,00 – 280.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marten van Cleve I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Outdoor Wedding Dance beobachtet, die im Juli 2016 für GBP 1.061.000,00 (€ 1.260.697,53) versteigert wurde.
