Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior of a farmhouse with a wet nurse by Marten van Cleve I was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The price achieved of USD 81,900.00 (€ 76,872.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marten van Cleve I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Outdoor Wedding Dance in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,061,000.00 (€ 1,260,697.53).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 76.872,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden.
