Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An extensive rocky river landscape with pilgrims on a path by a castle on a hill by Maerten Ryckaert was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 59,410.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maerten Ryckaert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 698,500.00 (€ 545,532.65).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 59.410,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maerten Ryckaert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 698.500,00 (€ 545.532,65).
