Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Drovers resting with their herd by a waterfall by Maerten Ryckaert. The price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,627.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maerten Ryckaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 698,500.00 (€ 545,532.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Drovers resting with their herd by a waterfall von Maerten Ryckaert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.627,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maerten Ryckaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 698.500,00 (€ 545.532,65).
