Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work An Alpine Landscape With An Iron Foundry And Blast Furnace by Maerten Ryckaert. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,401.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maerten Ryckaert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 698,500.00 (€ 545,532.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Alpine Landscape With An Iron Foundry And Blast Furnace von Maerten Ryckaert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 84.401,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maerten Ryckaert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 698.500,00 (€ 545.532,65).
