Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A mountainous landscape with goatherds in the foreground, and a grotto beyond by Marten Rijckaert was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day auction at Christies in London in July 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,375.00 (€ 17,284.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marten Rijckaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Wooded Landscape With Hercules And Cacus; And A Mountainous River Landscape With The Prodigal Son in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 238,263.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A mountainous landscape with goatherds in the foreground, and a grotto beyond von Marten Rijckaert wurde im Juli 2010 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 14.375,00 (€ 17.284,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00.
