The work Kopf 1 by Markus Raetz was worth EUR 241,500.00 to a buyer in June 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Art Contemporain at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Markus Raetz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hasenspiegel sold at auction in December 2018 with the realized price of EUR 415,500.00.
