Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art, which included the work View From The Window by Markey Robinson. The price achieved of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,540.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Markey Robinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Celestial Homes, Co. Kerry, Overlooking Macgillycuddy'S Reeks in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,888.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit View From The Window von Markey Robinson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.540,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Markey Robinson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Celestial Homes, Co. Kerry, Overlooking Macgillycuddy'S Reeks im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.888,38).
