In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Shawlies by Markey Robinson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,335.36), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Markey Robinson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Celestial Homes, Co. Kerry, Overlooking Macgillycuddy'S Reeks, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,888.38).

Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shawlies von Markey Robinson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.335,36) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Markey Robinson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Celestial Homes, Co. Kerry, Overlooking Macgillycuddy'S Reeks beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.888,38) versteigert wurde.
