Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Five Doves by Markey Robinson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,115.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Markey Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Celestial Homes, Co. Kerry, Overlooking Macgillycuddy'S Reeks in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,888.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five Doves von Markey Robinson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.115,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Markey Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Celestial Homes, Co. Kerry, Overlooking Macgillycuddy'S Reeks im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.888,38).
