Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Figure by Cottages by Markey Robinson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,452.15), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Markey Robinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Celestial Homes, Co. Kerry, Overlooking Macgillycuddy'S Reeks in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,888.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure by Cottages von Markey Robinson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.452,15) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Markey Robinson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Celestial Homes, Co. Kerry, Overlooking Macgillycuddy'S Reeks im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.888,38).
