Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work The Stage is Early 12 x 16 in. framed 17 x 21 in. by Marjorie Reed for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,852.66). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marjorie Reed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Anchors Aweigh in April last year with an auction result of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Stage is Early 12 x 16 in. framed 17 x 21 in. von Marjorie Reed für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.852,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marjorie Reed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Anchors Aweigh im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.285,19).
