Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marjorie Reed could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Arrival of the Stage at Cabazon 16 x 20 in. framed 22 1/2 x 27 1/2 in. changed hands for USD 640.00 (€ 586.73) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marjorie Reed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anchors Aweigh in April last year with an auction result of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marjorie Reed konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Arrival of the Stage at Cabazon 16 x 20 in. framed 22 1/2 x 27 1/2 in. für USD 640,00 (€ 586,73) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marjorie Reed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Anchors Aweigh im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.285,19).
