Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marjorie Reed could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Arrival of the Stage at Cabazon 16 x 20 in. framed 22 1/2 x 27 1/2 in. changed hands for USD 640.00 (€ 586.73) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marjorie Reed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anchors Aweigh in April last year with an auction result of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19).
