It achieved a price of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,482.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Admittedly, works by Marjorie Reed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Anchors Aweigh in April last year with an auction result of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19).

Die Arbeit San Mateo House in Moonlight 9 x 12 in. framed 17 x 20 in. von Marjorie Reed wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.482,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marjorie Reed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Anchors Aweigh im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.285,19).
