Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mescalero Apaches Running off Stage Horses by Marjorie Reed was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,309.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marjorie Reed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Anchors Aweigh in April last year with an auction result of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mescalero Apaches Running off Stage Horses von Marjorie Reed wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.309,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marjorie Reed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Anchors Aweigh im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.285,19).
