Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Daun Russell by Marjan Wouda was sold in the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 3,739.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marjan Wouda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Dogs in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,013.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Daun Russell von Marjan Wouda wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 3.739,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marjan Wouda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Dogs im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.013,23).
